First, I should say that I wrote this before I secured two job interviews. My day felt like a ball of yarn because I felt or had an instinct that there was a common thread to everything going on (school, work, job search, and so on), but I couldn't find the end, and everything appeared to be a tangle (a string going this way, another crossing there, and three more winding the other direction). I might add that I felt like I was in the middle of the ball of yarn, and perhaps, there was a cat playing or pushing that ball of yarn.

Your concerned wife.
